some news

Champions  joins Lord of the Rings Online, Guild Wars, and the upcoming Guild Wars 2 as a major free-to-play title in the Massively Multiplayer Online genre. Dungeons & Dragons Online did the same in 2009, while the all-conquering World of Warcraft is accompanied by EVE Online, Aion, Runescape and Everquest II in maintaining a subscription model.

Players that pony up $15 per month - the same price as DC Universe Online's standard sub - are granted Gold status. That grants them complimentary access to many store items that are otherwise paid for, such as extra costumes, character slots, and even missions for super-powered adventuring.
